Masonic Village at Burlington located in Burlington Township, NJ is currently hiring Activity Care Partner/Driver. This is a full time position, Monday - Friday with a 1 day per weekend rotation every 8 weeks. Regular hours will be 4 days per week 8am - 4.30pm and 1 day per week 11am - 7.30pm. 

What will I do?

  • Participates in neighborhood learning circles.

  • Operates Masonic Village buses and other motor vehicles; assumes responsibility for the safety and welfare of all residents, team members and volunteers and for the safety and proper transport of all vehicles while loading, unloading and moving the vehicles. Maintains daily and on-going upkeep of vehicle(s) and contents along with completes daily pre-trip inspection Keeps buses organized, maintained and clean. Reports general repair needs to Director/Manager of Activities.

  • Assists the Neighborhood Life Enrichment Teams when needed with resident life engagement. Maybe required to lead an activity. Works with other Activity Life Enrichment Coordinators to coordinate joint programs. Invites/reminds the residents to participate in planned activities.

  • Coordinates shopping trips and special trips with the Neighborhood Life Enrichment Team. Obtains any information (i.e. directions, phone numbers, petty cash, residents trip list, cell phone number to Director/Manager of Activities or Security) and upon return accounts for vehicle expenditures (i.e. tolls, gas, parking fees, return of resident' s funds to PNA).

  • Observes residents and answers call bells in a timely manner to determine resident's needs. Reports any unusual conditions or reactions to Life Enrichment Team or Neighborhood Nurse Manager as appropriate.

  • Maybe required to handle special projects; i.e. oversee the wood shop program and maintaining a clean, safe and orderly environment, Ice Cream inventory and cleaning, creates and updates Community Live televised events, distribution of balloons, distribution of welcome packets for new residents.

What do I need for this role?

  • A diploma from accredited High School, Vocational School or Technical School or equivalent.
  • Awareness of the need for developing, implementing and maintaining interest of residents in activities and engagement opportunities
  • Ability to assist residents with out taking away their independence or self-accomplishment. To adapt programming to meet the resident's level of functioning.
  • Initiative and judgement in adapting programs to meet the need of the individual residents or groups and in obtaining cooperation of the fellow team members and volunteers.
  • CDL with proof of documentation (CDL, Class A, B or C with Passenger endorsement and medical examiners certification) required by the Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) and/or must obtain CDL within a 6-month hire. (or willing to obtain)
